Our History

Calvary began as a community mission in the old Union Point School House located on Chatsworth Road. The 25 member congregation grew, and in June 1946, the church officially joined the North Georgia Baptist Association. For several years, the congregation met in what is now the basement of the church, until the auditorium was constructed over it and completed in October 1952. The educational hall and fellowship hall were added in 1971. The church is presently remodeling the sanctuary, foyer and nursery.
